Did you join us for the Hatfield Broad Oak 10K race on Monday 25th May?
There was some great family fun all over the weekend.
The Hatfield Broad Oak flower festival has been held for over 45 years over the Spring bank holiday weekend in May. It draws thousands of visitors and this year has the theme of Footlight Fantasies
The income generated by the flower festival goes to support a whole host of community activity in and around Hatfield Broad Oak and the event draws upon the time and efforts of the entire community.

The flower festival is made up of a number of events across the 3 days of the Bank Holiday weekend.
The mainstay of the event is the church flower display which completely fills the 12th century church.
In addition, the weekend sees the annual dog show, farmers market, talent show and many other stalls including tombola and white elephant - all for family entertainment including cream teas made and served by the ladies of St Mary's Church and their helpers.
A huge draw for the festival is the HBO 10k race which will be in its 24th year in 2009. This race has grown and grown and is now a firm favourite with over 1,700 runners from the local area.
In recent years they have numbered more than the total population of the village itself!
The whole event helps raise on average £6,000 for St Mary's Church as well as the village's community. The income from the 10k race is used to help the village school and other organisations and projects.
