Harlow Santa Run

Join Ten-17, St Clare Hospice and hundreds of adults and children all dressed as Father Christmas at Harlow's first ever Santa Run on Sunday 6th December on Town Park.

The event promises to be a great fun day out with the family while raising vital funds for the Hospice.

The route is approximately 4km and you can run it, jog it, walk it or wheel it, dressed in your festive outfit!

It's the first ever event of its kind in Harlow. The Ten-17 presenters and Thunder crew will be joining in and there'll be live entertainment hosted by Terry James.

Did you spot the Santas at Harlow Town train station recently? See the pictures here.

The run starts at 11am and the first 500 adults who sign up will get a free Santa suit and the first 100 children will get a free Santa hat.

Places are expected to go quickly. Find out more and sign up now here or call 01279 773 750.

Registration is £15 for adults (16 years and above) and £5 for children .

The event was launched on Monday, when shoppers were taken by surprise as they came across Santas throughout the town centre including doing their shopping in Asda and having a coffee in Esquires.

“We wanted to create a little curiosity and have some fun launching this event because to us that’s what it’s all about, having some fun, dressing up and hopefully raising money towards the care we provide free of charge each year” said Giles Wright, Communications Manager for St Clare.

“We certainly turned a few heads on Monday which I’m sure will get the town talking and the registrations flooding in! We hope to raise £23,000 from this event which is enough to fund our In-Patient Unit for a whole week, a service available 365 days a year, for local people with life limiting illnesses”.
