A12 widening starts
Work starts today to widen the A12 to 3 lanes between Witham and Hatfield Peverel.
There will be a 50 mile an hour speed limit on both the north and southbound carriageways for the next 4 months while the work is carried out.
The road will also be re-surfaced and new lights will be installed.
The Highways Agency say the work should be finished by the start of March.
